In contrast, English historians often use the Battle of Bosworth Field (1485) to mark the end of the period.[8] For Spain, the death of King Ferdinand II (1516), of Queen Isabella I of Castile (1504) or otherwise the conquest of Granada (1492) is often used.[9]
