    THE ENTIRE SONG LAYOUT
The song starts off with a prisoner sitting alone in a prison cell. He does not look sad, angry, scared, or happy. He’s just thinking; thinking about his actions, what kind of impact they had (if any), how they brought him to this point, whether or not this point is truly happening, and also, what his name used to be, for he was addressed as number 666 for so long his name as a free man has long escaped his memory. 666 has been told that he’s going to die at around 5 o’clock but since he was only told this, it has not actually hit home yet that his life is about to end. Outside, a bell chimes signaling the coming of 666’s death (the “bell chime” is that hammering guitar that keeps playing against that soft rift). 666 looks at a clock on the wall. The time is ten minutes til 5. He gets off his bed and looks out his window. Outside, he see’s a desert. Why a desert? Because, unlike humans, a desert has limitless sand. The sands of a desert will never run out which makes the land of death immortal. But 666’s sand is running on its last few grains and soon, it will all be gone. And now begins the 5 phases of death/grief

    1. Denial
At around 1:00, 666 is being led away by two guards. Now his eyes have traces of fear now that the process has been put into motion. The guards take him into a large circular room and bring him to his knees in front of a large wooden stand in the center. A priest comes in and opens a book over the stand as he looks down on 666. 666 jolts his head to his left and see’s a bright window that leads out to the world that has wronged him. Then he looks down and begins to ponder whether this could all be a mistake; a bad dream, a hallucination. All he has to do to wake up from the dream is leap through the window of opportunity. So he gets up and tries to make a run for it but a swarm of guards are on him in seconds. He fight and resists them thinking to himself “It’s all a dream! None of this is real! You have no power over me!” 666 actually succeeds in taking out all but two guards and he has a chance to make a run for the window but something he is halted when a tear falls from his eye. 666 is puzzled that he has allowed himself to cry. He’s a man, dammit! He’s not afraid to die! And besides, he can’t die because nothing truly has an end, especially life. So rather than run crying like a coward to the world that’s wronged him, 666 decides to compose himself and face whatever awaits him like a man. He snatches the shackles from a fallen guard and fastens them onto his writs himself and hands himself over to the two remaining guards. The guards beat him for a few moments to avenge their comrades before even more guards come out to replace the dead ones, which shocks 666 after realizing he was just punished for nothing. The guards take the bloodied and bruised 666 in front of a massive door and wait for two guards to open it.

    2. Anger.
At 2:50 the door opens revealing a long black tunnel with a white light at the end of it. As the guards march 666 through the tunnel, they pass the cells of dozens of inmates on death row and they all run to the bars as they watch his departure. 666 is furious at the thought of God allowing him to die in such an inhumane manner and he spits on an inmate after the inmate says to him “God be with you”. Even as he nears the tunnel 666 does not feel remorse for any of his past deeds because of his predicament. But then, almost immediately after, he is struck with a sudden realization: even if he dies, his legacy will live on while he goes onto a better place to discover the truth of life and that everything down here, all the pain and hardships he has faced on earth, were all merely illusions that would lead up to his ultimate reward. Hell, he’s probably already dead and that white light he is heading toward is the afterlife. But at 4:05, he see’s that he was horribly wrong.

    3. Pleading
4:05 666 steps into the light and it leads him outside where the very first thing he see’s is the noose blowing in the wind as if waving him forward. Then an executioner dressed in a black robe with his faced covered by a hood (exactly like the Grim Reaper) steps out from behind the gallows and stands under the noose starring at 666. Now the true fear has finally struck him, he see’s death starring him right in the face and he falls to his knees in horror praying to be spared. On both sides of 666 is a line of soldiers with death drums. They occasionally beat their drums while 666 prays futilely.
At 4:25 the executioner motions for 666 to be brought to him, which the guards happily comply. The grab him by the hair and shoulders and drag him to his feet as he struggles to escape. They bring him down the alley of drums and stand him on the edge of a platform that hangs over a 30-story drop. At the bottom of the drop, there is a crowd of hundreds, maybe thousands, of spectators all screaming and cheering and rioting like a pack of wild, primitive apes as they call out for 666’s death. It’s obvious that many of these people don’t even care about whether or not justice is served; they are all just thrilled at the idea that they will be able to see someone die.

    4. Depression
At 4:50 the realization that this is how it will all end, falling toward a pain far worse than he could ever imagine while these savage beasts all watch in delight while he will go un-mourned and un-loved, causes 666 to break down in tears while the noose is fastened around his neck and his last rights are being read to him one last time, his heart skipping beats as the sky is blackened by the clouds that cast out the sun.
At 5:50 666 is asked if he has any last words. At the mention of “last words”, his heart rate skyrockets. Everything him seems to move 100 times faster that it actually is (his hand is trembling but when he looks at it, it looks like it is vibrating at the speed of light), then his vision starts to blur as the world around him starts to fade away.

    5. Acceptance
Finally, at 6:15, the sun’s light shines through the clouds in a way similar to that of the sun shining down on Simba in the beginning of the Lion King and then 666’s world returns to him and everything goes back to normal, for now he realizes that God actually is watching down on him through all this pandemonium and darkness. He realizes that God does not see him as a number, but as one of his children; a child with a soul and a name. 666 turns to the executioner who is still waiting to hear an answer to his question of “last words”. Now fully ready to accept his fate, 666 shouts out over the screaming crowd so loudly that it causes them to grow silent “YEAH! HALLOWED BE THY NAME!!” As he is shouting it a second time, the executioner is given the okay to execute the prisoner. The executioner pulls a lever just as the prisoner is in the process of shouting “NAME” and the platform drops sending the prisoner falling to the over the drop with the noose around his neck as he shouts “NAAAAME” all the way to down until he finally reaches the bottom and dies instantly. His soul then leaves his body and victoriously shots “YEAAAH!” as it flies off into the light that was shining down on him. HOWEVER, that light that was cast down on him did not come from heaven. It came from the eye of Eddie the mascot. For even though the prisoner’s suffering on earth is over, he was still a criminal and might have another life of torture a head of him. Eddie then smiles and winks his eye shut as the prisoner’s soul passes inside it.
